Prizes

There are some fantastic prizes on offer in the Little Tiger Press Young Writer and Illustrator Awards 2010, sponsored by PriceMinister. The schools of the winning entrants will receive £800 in PriceMinister vouchers and the schools of the second place entrants will win £400 in vouchers.

All winning pupils will also receive a voucher to spend on whatever they wish from the PriceMinister website. There are DVDs, games, electrical items, toys, sports and leisure equipment, music and, of course, books!

The judging process has two stages.

Stage 1

The entrants are awarded prizes in the following categories:

• Writer Award for children in Key Stage 1 (5-7 years old)
• Writer Award for children in Key Stage 2 (8-11 years old)
• Illustrator Award for children in Key Stage 1 (5-7 years old)
• Illustrator Award for children in Key Stage 2 (8-11 years old)

Stage 2

Prizes for Schools/Organisations/Charities

As well as receiving £75 in PriceMinister vouchers, the 1st place winners of each four categories are put forward to win the Young Writer and Illustrator Awards 2010, and win prizes for their schools.

The overall winner of the Little Tiger Press Young Writer Award 2010 and the overall winner of the Little Tiger Press Young Illustrator Award 2010 will both receive a trophy plus their competition entry will be professionally designed and framed. Each of their schools will receive £800 of PriceMinister vouchers, plus they will benefit from a visit from an author and illustrator and a free workshop.

The two runners-up will have their competition entry professionally designed and framed. Each of their schools will receive £400 of PriceMinister vouchers.

• PriceMinister vouchers will be presented in email format.
• Schools vouchers of £800 and £400 should be used in a single transaction and are valid until 31/12/2010.
• Winning individual vouchers of £75, £50 and £25 will be presented in amounts of £25. They can only be used in consecutive months in amounts of £25 and are valid from the date of issue until 31/12/2010. E.g.  A £75 winner can use a £25 voucher in October, £25 in November and £25 in December.
